Projekty

The construction of the central dispatching office building will enable remote control of traffic on major railway lines in the Czech Republic. The concept is based on concentrating a large number of remotely controlled stations in a single location, which brings financial savings, savings in the number of employees, deployment of additional functions such as automatic construction of routes, management of wagons, locomotives, routes, ERTMS, interconnection with other systems and, last but not least, increased safety of railway traffic. The modernization of the railway infrastructure included in the TEN-T network, to which this project contributes, will enable the connection of the Czech Republic to the railway networks of neighboring states and the implementation of EU parameters into these networks will increase their quality and capacity.

The CDP building is located in the Balabenka area, in a triangular space bordered on all three sides by railway lines.

The building with an almost square floor plan (approx. 40 x 43 m) is located in a rectangular network with other neighboring buildings that are purely technical in nature. The entire area is connected by a common service road on Sokolovská Street.

The central dispatching workplace building is an operational and administrative building by its nature. Two functions are combined in one building – administrative operations with a direct relationship to traffic management and central dispatching workplaces with control rooms for traffic management on crucial parts of the main railway lines of the Czech Republic. The second such workplace in the Czech Republic is the CDP Přerov.

The CDP building is divided into two parts in terms of mass. A glazed, lightweight ground floor and a heavy, structured mass of the upper floors. This also corresponds to the operational division of the building. The lower part (ground floor) is administrative, the upper part is operational and hall. The upper part of the building is also structured in terms of mass and area, with alternating glazed and solid areas, and everything is complemented by two notches on the east and west sides. Thus, the entire building achieves a symbiosis between the appearance, form and operational and functional content of the building.

The lower part of the building is open to all directions with fully glazed surfaces. These are covered with protruding aluminum shading slats. From the east side, the main entrance to the building is located in the central part of the building, covered with a protruding awning. A light strip is placed above the glazed ground floor around the entire perimeter.

The upper part is divided from the east and west by glazed notches between the halls, which complements the overall plasticity of the facades oriented in this way and the entire building. The glazed parts on the south and north facades are in the plane of the envelope. All glazed surfaces of the envelope, except for the eastern and western facades in the notches, are covered with shading slats.

The full surfaces of the building envelope are designed as a ventilated facade clad with large-format panels in a metallic gray-silver color. The glazed facades and shading are designed as aluminum, system-based. The color of the aluminum structures is graphite gray.
